And we thought the Black Mesa mod was impressive when it released just a few years ago. Taking one look at the work that is presented here, one has to wonder how much time it took as the visuals are just THAT much next level. It’s not just the eye candy but the attention to detail and the overall (if I can say) perfect use of the Unreal Engine 4 lighting. The ambience feels just as you remember it from the 90’s with audio being in reality way more crisp and subtle but yet just as immersive as if you were playing Half-Life back in 1998 (rose tinted glasses and all). Whats better yet, you can even play this little demo for yourself and take the long and scenic tram ride, all the way through Black Mesa.
Credit to SilverTM and for all their hard work in making such an iconic scene even better than the official remake that was blessed by Valve.
